Position – Executive Assistant/Business/HR Manager Facility Name – 1st Summit Arena @ Cambria County War Memorial Location – Johnstown, PA POSITION: Executive Assistant/Business/HR Manager DEPARTMENT: Executive REPORTS TO: General Manager FLSA STATUS: Salaried/Exempt/Full Time Summary As the world’s leading venue management company and producer of live event experiences, ASM Global is the preeminent management and content partner with over 350 venues worldwide. This position is responsible for assisting the General Manager with day-to-day operations by overseeing and organizing business activities ensuring they are well-coordinated and productive by managing its procedures and coaching its people. In addition, responsible for providing input regarding the HR portion of the overall business strategy involving recruitment, labor and employee relations, benefits, training, development, HRIS, Unemployment and Workers’ Compensation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Oversees the planning and coordination of employee communications, events, and recognition programs. Provide administrative support to General Manager, including managing schedules, preparing materials, and arranging travel. Undertakes special facility and event projects as assigned by the General Manager by monitoring project timelines and provide updates. Maintains a presence with employees by attending pre-shift and department meetings, as well as events. Ability to act as a catalyst for organization change through comprehensive analysis of operations and prepare workforce transition plans. Organizational change agent by implementing departmental best practices, standard operation procedures manuals, policies, training, and procedural audits. Identify change opportunities and communicate them to senior management. Finance or Food & Beverage back-up; including but not limited to, POS reporting, purchasing, and reconciling registers and cash deposits. Administers human resources policies, programs, and practices. Manages recruitment process including interviewing, pre-screening, hiring, applicant processing, new hire orientation and onboarding. Oversees the preparation and maintenance of job descriptions. Represents 1st Summit Arena/NCRC at job fairs and networking engagements. Oversees compensation program and makes recommendations to senior management on payroll adjustments, etc. Directs payroll activities ensuring proper disbursement to employees and enters new hires into payroll system. Maintains personnel/medical files, I-9 files, and background check files. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws. Oversees the preparation and makes recommendations for the performance review process. Processes and monitors unemployment and worker’s compensation claims, attending hearings as necessary. Assists with conflict resolution by advising managers on effective coaching, counseling, and the delivery of corrective action. Prepares all necessary termination paperwork and ensures HR has representation in termination meetings. HR information system experience a plus; Workday, PeopleSoft, etc. Payroll system experience desirable, ADP Enterprise. Must be able to pass a background/credit check. Possess strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Work independently, exercising judgement and initiative. Ability to work with minimum supervision. Provide attention to detail and service oriented. Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task. Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays based on the event schedule. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university preferred, Master’s degree a plus. 2 to 4 years of progressive business management/human resource experience Or equivalent combination of education and experience PHR and/or SHRM-CP certifications a plus.
