Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists with special event coverage as needed.
- Responds to maintenance issues during events.
- Makes minor repairs to electrical and plumbing equipment.
- Follows all facility maintenance policies, procedures, and programs.
- Ability to work irregular hours that may vary due to functions and events and may include day, evening, weekends, and holidays.
- May occasionally have to enter areas where fumes, airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals are present.
Hours of Work
- Hours vary based on event coverage needs. Generally, will be 4 to 6 hour shifts to cover event maintenance needs.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or G.E.D required.
- 3 to 5 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrate a firm general knowledge of electrical, plumbing and general maintenance practices.
- Read and comprehend blueprints, drawings and equipment manuals.
- Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.
- Work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results.
- Work independently with limited supervision, exercising judgment and initiative.
- Maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons, and others encountered in the course of employment.
- Professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic.
Computer Skills
General computer skills.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Tradesman license in one or more building trades preferred, but not required.

- The employee is required to walk/stand extensively, kneel, climb to high walkways, balance, and maneuver to all areas of the facility.
- The employee must frequently move and/or lift 30 – 50 lbs. (some heavier lifts are team lifts).
- May have some exposure to adverse conditions (inside and outside of the building)
- Must be able to hear and speak to use a two-way radio.
