POSITION DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Retail Seller COMPANY: SAVOR…ASM GLOBAL DEPARTMENT: Food & Beverage/Retail FACILITY: Mohegan Sun Arena @ Casey Plaza REPORTS TO: Retail Supervisor FLSA: Hourly/Non-Exempt POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for selling retail merchandise items for concerts and shows at the arena. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists Retail Supervisor as needed with counting in of show merchandise and distributes to the various points of sale as directed Setup of the merchandise stands and/or portables before the event Displays merchandise in a way that is appealing to the eye of the patron Handles cash sales and credit card transactions while maintaining accurate cash handling procedures and completing any required paperwork at all times Provides great customer service by interacting with guests in a pleasant and professional manner Helps with the stand break down, count out, and clean up upon closing Cleans shelves, counters, and tables upon the closing and the packing up of merchandise Performs other tasks as assigned WORK CONTACTS: Event day contact with the Retail Supervisor, Director of Food & Beverage and other Arena staff. PHYSICAL EFFORT: This position requires stooping, lifting, and substantial standing and walking. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs to the waist. WORKING CONDITIONS: Works primarily behind a merchandise stand or portable location using a portable credit card machine. QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess excellent customer service skills, excellent math skills needed to accurately count inventory and handle money; must pass a Consumer Report background check Must possess familiarity with a credit card machine and inventory management paperwork Must possess the ability to follow directions and effectively perform the work, a positive attitude, and a clean and neat appearance Must possess the ability to walk and/stand for long periods of time and lift up to 40 pounds to the waist Must possess the ability to work hours as dictated by events Must possess the ability to work a flexible schedule to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays, work as a team, and have reliable transportation Must possess the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
