What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Assistant position at ASM Global?
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist team members with the concept, development, and delivery of marketing materials
- Assist in brainstorming new innovative ways to market/promote upcoming shows
- Conduct administrative duties as assigned, which include, but are not limited to spreadsheet creations, filing documents, logging data and database maintenance.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team and clients to ensure adherence to facility, sponsor, & event brand standards.
- Takes photographs of events and other facility activities as directed, and maintains a photo database.
- Assist and/or complete other project requests for General Manager and other upper-management team members.
- Perform other marketing duties such as website management, marquee updates and social media marketing
- Assist with public relations tasks in special projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Communication, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism or other related major from an accredited college or university.
- 1- 2 years' experience in Marketing, Public Relations or Sales in entertainment industry, familiarity with similar facility environment, or related field preferred
- Ability to prioritize, manage, and complete multiple projects with simultaneous deadlines
- Possess excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills
- Ability to work events, including those on evenings, weekends and holidays

Skill and Abilities
- Professional verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish
- Ability to work events, including those on evenings, weekends and holidays
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of a variety of social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, Google , etc.
- Available to work 28 hours per week on a varying schedule.
