Responsibilities:
Trainer/Instructor requires in-depth knowledge/experience using best practices of internal or external business concepts to improve training products or services. Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions. Works independently, receives minimal guidance. Trainer/Instructor will act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
- Presents technical training in house on ASM semiconductor equipment, focusing on specialized / customized courses. Travel opportunities may be offered if desired by candidate, but not required.
- Manages classroom/lab activities to assure fulfillment of course objectives; presents and practices safety per procedure; may train on one of 2 shifts, 5 days per week.
- Maintains product technical knowledge sufficient to prepare and present defined product courses.
- Completes certification on multiple platforms and/or process modules to include safety modules; actively certifies others; establishes new certification requirements.
- Utilizes Technical Publications and Business Unit to assist Course Developers in maximizing technical training documentation efficiencies; creates and augments documentation to fill gaps in released materials; evaluates students/colleagues with less experience performance.
- Provides technical expertise and troubleshooting skills to assist with system repairs; ensures system functionality can support course objectives; ensures all safety retrofits are installed on the training systems.
- Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the Global Training Center (GTC) organization and its operations. Informs customers of additional GTC courses/products that are available.
- Provide feedback to determine future training opportunities and assist in presenting total training solutions for customer needs.
- Provides coaching and leadership to other instructors; serves as mentor to less senior instructors for class delivery, technical development and certification; anticipates, prevents and resolves customer satisfaction issues as it pertains to training activities.
- Supports Course Developers in the generation of training materials for new and revised courses
- Revise day to day curriculum plans as needed to support new technology from system upgrades and/or procedures.
- Update GTC training tracking system and Learning Management System.
- Communicates with BUs to obtain current product information for courses updates; represents GTC at divisional meetings.
Education & Experience:
- Technical Degree, BS strongly preferred, or equivalent on-the-job experience
- 3 years of experience in Semiconductor industry
- Military training experience is a plus
- Read and troubleshoot schematics
- Safely follow, validate and redline operation and maintenance procedures
- Requires workmanship skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Microsoft Suite including: Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
