This role will implement new security capabilities within the cloud to improve the overall security posture of ASOS. Support the long-term strategic goals of Security Operations Centre. Facilitating cross functional collaboration to ensure appropriate security measures, technologies and processes are in place. This role will report to the Security Operations Engineering Manager
Key responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, although are not limited to:
- Design, build and deliver new security capability in the cloud to improve the overall security posture of ASOS.
- Work with Security Operations Engineer & Vulnerability Analyst to improve automation & vulnerability management.
- Work with the Security Operations Engineer to ensure all projects of Security Engineering is aligned
- Support the development and deployment of strategic improvements to automate enhance efficiencies and reduce alert fatigue for the SecOps analysts.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with Cyber Security, Tech Infra & Operations, and 3rd parties in relation to security measures, technologies, and processes.
- Implement appropriate reporting methods to evaluate the effectiveness of system changes.
Qualifications
We’d love to meet someone with:
- Experience working in an internal Security Operations Centre - improving their security knowledge and awareness.
- Understanding of Azure/cloud environments within security operations & engineering
- Knowledge of securing cloud environments, following, and executing on strategic direction
- Excellent problem-solving skills – evidence of demonstrating innovative and methodical thinking.
- Experience reading and consuming security operational alerts and logs (3rd Party and cloud native) as well as programming / scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, PowerApps, KQL), to automate tasks, to enable security at speed and scale.
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence at all levels of an organisation.
- Proven ability to multi-task conflicting priorities.
- Attention to detail, analytical and able to succinctly describe to non-cyber stakeholders the key aspects of best security practice.
