Our continued growth has created an opportunity to join our IT Team as a Workday QA Analyst.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide testing support (functional, integration and automation) for the ongoing production issues and enhancements covering all aspects of the Workday ERP system.
- The functional modules include but are not restricted to Recruiting, Core HCM, Absence, Payroll and Time Tracking.
- Collaborate closely with the product owners, functional stakeholders and the development teams to understand the business requirements amongst various IT applications and systems.
- Actively participate in sprint planning, sprint review sessions to ensure on-time completion of deliverables with utmost quality.
- Prioritize, estimate, plan and coordinate all the end-to-end testing efforts between different systems.
- Design and develop the overall test strategy, participate in test planning sessions and create a test plan to track and execute all the testing activities.
- Create and review the test scripts with the functional owners, developers, and business analysts to ensure they meet the business needs.
- Focus on automating manual processes, frequently used regression test scenarios to improve operational efficiency.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal, friendly, knowledge sharing and problem-solving skills with the project leadership and other team members.
- Proactively identify, analyze, and alert the project team of the potential risks and steps to mitigate the same.
- Ensure all testing artifacts like Test Strategy, Test Plan, Test Scripts, QA Sign off document etc. are properly curated in accordance with the testing framework.
- Maintain and track Acceptance Criteria, testing status, defect tracking and defect metrics in Jira.
- Retest all the issues after being resolved.
- Perform end-to-end workflow analysis, document test results, and make recommendations for improvements to process, configuration, and products.
- Lead Workday testing efforts for releases and changes between releases.
- Assess and track service levels, defect metrics and product performance to ensure they meet established quality standards.
- Develop and maintain necessary training materials and provide support services.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, or equivalent combination of education & experience is required with an emphasis in Information Systems, or related field strongly preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience doing manual/Automation software quality assurance
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies and tools
- 2 years testing experience with Workday Implementation (not limited to HCM modules)
- 2 years of experience in Integration testing is preferred
- 3 years of experience with UI Automation using Selenium or any other automation tool
- 3 years of experience with creating framework for test automation
- 3 years executing SQL queries to verify backend data is strongly preferred
- 3 years of experience in executing Functional, Regression testing, and support users with User Acceptance Testing
- 2 years of experience with Jira for defect tracking
- Workday certifications preferred but not necessary
- Strong communication skills and extensive QA and Agile methodology experience (analytical, troubleshooting, process oriented).
- Experience with Java or any programming language
- Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment with strong leadership skills
