The Role The Compensation Accounting Manager will be responsible for the accounting of worldwide entities’ payroll, benefits, commissions, and retirement benefit plans. The position includes managing relationships with key stakeholders in payroll, HR, benefits and commissions team located in various countries around the globe and applying US GAAP accounting principles to prepare accurate and timely financial statements and related analyses, along with supervision and review. Your Impact Ensure accurate accounting for Payroll, benefits, commissions, retirement benefit plans and related intercompany cross charges. Actively manage, mentor and develop Staff and Senior Accountants on the team. Responsible for executing all assigned tasks timely to support shortened monthly accounting close. Ensure compliance with US GAAP accounting standards. Subject matter expert on intercompany cross charges and related research as it relates to compensation and commissions. Work cross functionally to improve and streamline processes. Responsible for accurate and timely financial statement flux analysis for related areas. Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations for assigned areas of responsibility. Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures and internal accounting controls. Lead process improvements. Operate with minimal supervision. Manage deliverables and prioritize tasks. What You'll Need Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. 8 years of GL accounting experience, including experience with Compensation and intercompany accounting. Management and supervisory experience. Public accounting experience/CPA preferred. Experience in a large public company preferred. Strong technical accounting skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to convey information in a clear and concise manner with all levels of the organization. Ability to meet stringent deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Strong Excel skills required. Oracle or related ERP experience preferred.
