Key Accountability

Supply Planning Specialist will have a broad range of responsibilities in all aspects of FG planning and is responsible for ensuring the day to day supply chain business functions are achieved. This role combines analysis and reporting along with hands on applications within the supply planning department to ensure excellence in the overall performance of the operations.


Job Scope

  • Support the Supply planning director, supply planners, and supply chain analytics team members in all aspects of day to day operations and ensure that all the day to day supply chain business results are achieved
  • Perform ad-hoc data mining and analysis to support organizational decisions-making.
  • Assist, support, and provide backup coverage for Supply planning team members.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports and contribute to business cases
  • Conduct ‘as-is’ and ‘to be’ business process mapping Identify, evaluate and recommend improvements to Supply Chain business processes
  • Understand supply chain network and help optimize cost saving initiatives
  • Maintain supply planning data and assist with quarterly data clean up
  • Develop and lead supply chain process improvements related to replenishment activities.
  • Use and maintain current replenishment planning systems to create the most efficient recommended stock transfer orders using established processes
  • Identify present and future inventory and freshness risks and suggest mitigation strategies
  • Plan, execute, monitor, and manage entire inventory related supply chain processes in order to improve key supply planning metrics
  • Work with various cross functional teams on projects such as new product launches, line extensions, product discontinuations, etc.

Job Requirements/ Key Competencies / Qualifications

  • Proven organizational skills & ability to perform under pressure & manage priorities w/competing demands
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Process improvement proficiency, e.g., root cause understanding, lean methodology, etc.
  • Ability to work on a high-performing team in collaborative environment
  • Able to effectively present and communicate at various levels of the organization
  • Quantitative/qualitative analysis, including business process metrics & measures linking to business KPI’s
  • Able to navigate the organization across functions in order to influence members of other departments
  • Demonstrated knowledge of working with large and complex datasets in Excel
  • Demonstrated knowledge of a data visualization platform
  • Past Experience in Statistical and Operations Research-based problem solving is a plus
  • Working knowledge of SAP ECC is a plus
  • Must be detail oriented, a self-starter, and capable of producing high quality results on a consistent basis
  • One to Three years of related experience required strong analytical skills required
  • SAP experience/knowledge
  • High level proficiency w/PC-based applications (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
  • Ability to work on a high-performing team in collaborative environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Certification – APICS, IBP, IBF, LEAN 6 SIGMA a significant plus
  • Strong mathematical, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong verbal, written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
