Job Posting for Procurement Specialist at Aspire Kitchen and Bath
We are seeking an experienced procurement specialist with a positive attitude to join our team in a growing, family-owned business.
Job Responsibilities:
Review project documents (contracts, product selection lists, and change orders) and coordinate with the Design team to assemble project materials list.
Create vendor purchase orders. Understand vendor lead times and submit purchase orders with project scheduling requirements in mind.
Coordinate with Production Manager for project scheduling in relation to materials availability. Daily communication with Production team members for last-minute materials needed.
Cultivate positive relationships with vendors, coworkers, and customers.
Maintain reports related to project materials availability, status, and pricing, in the manner established by the company.
Oversee material management system for parts and materials stocked in the warehouse.
Conduct regular market research to identify new vendors and negotiate competitive pricing. Evaluate the purchasing strategy and plans to meet changing economic conditions.
Manage delivery schedules and assist with receiving, check-in, and organization of materials in the warehouse as needed.
Maintain accurate purchasing records and generate reports for management review as required.
Perform other duties as assigned with a positive attitude. Be flexible and willing to learn.
Qualifications for Successful Candidates:
Knowledge of construction and two years’ experience in construction related procurement (preferably residential construction.)
Adaptable to changing technology, and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Professional, organized, and able to work efficiently whether working alone or with others to support the needs of the team.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Able to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization.
Able to prioritize and multitask.
The ability to read technical drawings or a working knowledge of 2020 or other CAD programs is a bonus.
Able to pass a background check and drug screen.
