Aspirus Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids, WI is seeking a Food Service Coordinator to join our team!

The Food Service Coordinator supervises the daily operation of the Kitchen and Cafeteria. As Coordinator s/he is responsible for assisting personnel management of the Food Service employees. With input from the Food Service Manager s/he is responsible for assuring compliance to all hospital accreditation standards for dietary service reports to the Food Service Manager/Dietitian.  

HOURS: Full Time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every 2 weeks. Day shift,  7:30am-4:00pm, 8:00am-4:30pm.

Experience/Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent with completion or near completion of Dietary Managers course through an approved agency. 
• Experience in institutional food service required. 
• Experience in management and employee supervision preferred. 
• Verbal ability to effectively communicate with workers and vendors. 
• Numerical skills to calculate food portions required, plan work schedules, develop requisitions, transform recipes and estimate food purchasing requirements. 
• Form perception is required to judge adherence to portion/size specifications. 
• Knowledge of various types of food preparation, equipment, menus, modified diets, records and reports. 4. Personality Characteristics: Ability to communicate effectively. Must be assertive and act as a team leader. 
• Is able to adapt to frequent changes in job duties.
