O&M Hilcorp G&I Operator
JOB SUMMARY
The Facility Operator receives, processes, and injects liquid wastes originating from various fields across the North Slope. This position will also be responsible for the operation and maintenance of injection wells and facility fluid injection pumps.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
· Perform mechanical bolt-up of process pipe spools and valves.
· Work with WMS to plan for maintenance of the plant throughout the year and for prolonged shut down periods.
· Perform well checks and annulus pressure adjustments to record well pressures and temperatures daily.
· Vigilant monitoring of all systems and sub-systems to maintain operational integrity.
· Perform routine well maintenance and support duties.
· Will read and interpret P&ID and electrical schematics.
· Communicate effectively with team members, leaders, and client representatives to ensure facility operations are successful.
· Enable the safe operation and maintenance of equipment to support waste disposal.
· Demonstrate strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures.
· Understand and implement Hazard Assessment and Working Permitting processes.
· Assist in updating Standard Operating Procedures to identify new efficiencies for continued safe operations.
· Will develop and implement energy isolations (LO/TO) on mechanical equipment, mechanical piping, and electrical equipment.
· Monitor Triplex High Pressure positive displacement pumps, centrifugal pumps for proper operation, and perform preventative maintenance and repair work.
· Will safety operate analytical/detection equipment and be familiar in all aspects of routine and emergency operations of the plant.
· Monitor facility injection targets and take appropriate action to optimize performance.
· Monitor the 3 injection wells pressures/rates and ensure compliance regulations set forth by the managing authority HAK, EPA, AOGCC, and ADEC.
· May need to complete work duties in arctic weather and conditions.
· Other duties will be assigned to this position as needs require.
· Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
· Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Need to be knowledgeable in bolting up pipe and working in production/injection wells.
· Need to be knowledgeable in operating and maintaining shale shakers and high-pressure injection pumps.
· Need to be knowledgeable in equipment maintenance; including preventative maintenance, disassembly, and reassembly of equipment for successful operation.
· Must be able to work closely with others in a team environment.
· Must have a Valid driver's license.
· High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
CERTIFICATIONS
· Redbook Waste Disposal and Reuse Guide Certification required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· IADC Well Control Certification or Pressure Control Certification preferred.
· Process Technology Degree preferred.

WORKING ON THE NORTH SLOPE
While working on the North Slope of Alaska, your lodging and food will be provided to you. All camps provide warm meals and options to grab a quick lunch or snack from the spike rooms. Rooms vary from single status to shared rooms where your roommate may work the opposite shift. Wi-Fi and Internet is free and available within the camp. Services vary depending upon where you are staying; however, most facilities offer housekeeping, self-serve laundry, commissary, mail, gyms, TV/Theater Room, etc. Each facility will have their own accommodations and policies that will be reviewed upon on-site orientation.
