ASRC Federal is seeking an experienced Application Developer to support legacy ColdFusion and .NET applications used at NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center, and to support research, selection, implementation, and sustainment of current and future efforts to implement COTS (Commercial Off The Shelf) replacements.
This role is located at NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center on Edwards Air Force Base, near Palmdale/Lancaster, CA. As a part of this team, you will be required to work a 9/80 schedule with typical hours of 7:30am-5:00pm.

Responsibilities:
- Provides Tier 2 support to end-users of hosted custom applications including minor feature requests and bug fixes.
- Develops reports, workflows, and other customizations for COTS applications.
- Ensures all supported platforms are maintained at the required security compliance levels for patches, vulnerability mitigations, and NASA directives.
- Works closely with system administrators, database administrators, and customers to develop recommendations and implementation plans for COTS applications.
- Installs and configures web servers for hosted applications, including appropriate DNS entries, HTTPS certificates, HSTS, port binding, HTTP redirects, and other security considerations.
- Installs and evaluates new products for compliance with customer requirements and NASA security requirements.
- Develops and maintains all documentation (including baseline configurations, as well as Work Instructions/Processes) in support of applications to ensure continuity of support and compliance within the System Security Plan and configuration management process.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in technology related field at least 2 years of related work experience; 8 years of work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
- Experience with ColdFusion, .NET, HTML, APEX, and or/JavaScript programming languages.
- General knowledge of MS SQL Server, Oracle Database, MS IIS, and Apache HTTP.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills with an ability to communicate to various audiences, ranging from the customer, to other administrators, to management.
- Ability to multitask with strong time management and organization skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government issued security clearance.
- Strong teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work independently.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with maintaining Azure DevOps code repositories.
- Familiarity with various end-user client platforms, to include MS Windows 10, MacOS, iOS, and Android.
Physical Requirements:
- Mobility to work in a typical office setting, use standard office equipment including a computer and keyboard; vision to read printed materials, correspondence, and a computer screen.
- May require periodic schedule shifts or pre-approved additional hours to meet scheduled maintenance windows or to support necessary after hours return to service work.
