What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electronics Engineer position at ASRC Federal?
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) team is seeking an engineer to support the field network. WAAS is a satellite navigation aid developed by the FAA to augment the Global Positioning System (GPS), with the goal of improving its accuracy, integrity, and availability. The position supports field sites through systems engineering and implementation of software and hardware modifications.
Responsibilities:
- Research, design, development, testing, evaluation, and maintenance of computer hardware and software systems in an integrated manner.
- Travel to WAAS sites implementing hardware and software modifications.
- Resolves network problems.
- Conducts network system reviews, audits and testing.
- Perform packet inspection with Wireshark.
- Maintain system drawings using AutoCAD
- Adheres to configuration management (CM) requirements, and performs changes as required.
