Our Curries location in Mason City, IA is looking to add a Programmer Analyst III to our team. You will be based onsite, reporting to the Manager, IT Applications iMES, in our manufacturing facility

What would you do as our Programmer Analyst III?
You will design, develop, write, modify and implement software solutions consisting of applications and/or components. Support and/or install software applications and components. Assist with business discovery, and work from written specifications and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Maintain accurate documentation of solutions provided. Remain appraised of current development methods and technologies, and assist team lead with proactively refining development standards and practices to improve efficiency & quality of the team.
You would also:
- Develop and/or provide software solutions to the business in accordance with established specifications, and considerate of IT priorities, follow a process similar to the following;
- Assist in requirements gathering by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; following the software development lifecycle.
- Determine operational feasibility by analyzing problem definition, requirements, and proposed solutions.
- Work with Business Analysts, Project managers, Stakeholders, and other team members.
- Follow work instructions, procedures and established standards in coding and delivering the identified solution on time and on budget.
- Document and test the solution and assist with end user training as required.
- Enhance existing systems by analyzing business objectives, preparing an action plan, and identifying areas for modification and improvement.
- Maintain existing software systems, identify, and correct software defects.
- Provide assistance to the infrastructure team as needed.
- Be available to fulfill assigned “on call” duties.
- Develop work instructions, procedures, and coding standards as needed.
- Consult closely with team lead and business management related to projects, milestones & tasks.
- Remain informed on relevant technology, constantly seek to expand skill set and request necessary training to augment these objectives.
- Actively participate in providing a safe and harmonious working environment for all employees.
- Compliance with federal, state, local and corporate governance policies, regulations and laws, AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct.
What we are looking for:
- Preferred undergraduate degree in computer science, information systems or related field and/or equivalent work experience; and 5 years related experience developing software in a business production environment.
- A Minimum of 5 years combined progressive experience with requirements gathering and analysis.
- At least 5 years in a professional capacity with ILE RPG, OS400, SQL and DB2 Databases.
- Experience with Agile Development /Agile Project Management, Java, XML, HTML5, and Rational preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
