Lead, Assembly

B&B Roadway and Security Solutions, an ASSA ABLOY company, is looking for an Assembly lead to join our manufacturing team located in Russellville, AL. 

What you will be doing:

• Experience with electrical assembly, arm assembly, mechanical assembly, and packaging processes.

• Experience leading multiple employees.

• Have basic math and mechanical skills.

• Able to train employees in the proper way to perform assembly processes with minimal error while focused on uptime and throughput.

• Ability to read and interpret prints and drawings.

• Provide employees with tools, resources, motivation, training, and accountability.

• Needs to have flexibility with production hours.

• Will need to lead by example by adhering to all code of conduct policies, rules, and regulations.

• Understanding & usage of the metric system, reading micrometer, caliper & tape measure.

• Good interpersonal skills.

• Attention to detail.

The skills and experience you need:

• High School diploma or GED Equivalent.

• 1 to 3 years experience with manufacturing processes.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and react to changing priorities.

• Must have strong verbal communication skills.

• 5-S training is a plus.

• Lean training is a plus.

• Able to maintain a safe working environment that is conducive to productivity.

• Ability to think and react quickly to changing situations and adjust to changing priorities.

• Ensure proper storage and handling of all materials.

• Manufacture products in conformance to plant quality standards.

This role is located in Russellville, AL.
