Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Specialist to join our team. The Specialist will be responsible for various administrative tasks related to medical coding, insurance verification, and medical records. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a medical office setting and possess a strong knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, and managed care.
Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate and timely medical coding for procedures and services
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
- Maintain and update patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate documentation of patient information
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Assist with general office duties as needed
Experience:
- Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and coding practices
- Familiarity with insurance verification processes and managed care plans
- Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other office software applications
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.30 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
