What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graphics designer position at Assessment Intervention Management?
SUMMARY:
The graphic designer designs art and video concepts for in house specs requested for print and digital collateral.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Provides in-house graphic design, print preparation, and archiving of marketing collateral including but not limited to brochures, direct mail, advertising, website materials, posters, packaging, and logos for all products and services.
- Prioritizes and manages multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions.
- Manages projects from conceptualization to production, including but not limited to consulting with client and management to determine scope of project, developing sample layouts for approval, interfacing with outside vendors, presenting samples for approval, and preparing final layout for production.
- Assures quality of final product before release.
- Maintains high level of knowledge and skill with all computer software related to the design and production of print materials.
- Manages all media assets.
- Assists with strategizing, designing, and producing visual communications.
- Interacts and collaborates effectively with internal and external team members to assure creative needs of the company are met
- Develops digital and print marketing assets specifically targeted to a broad array of audiences and ensures that the design effectively engages the target audience to help meet marketing goals, objectives, and initiatives.
- Creates original designs and executes the artwork for publications, digital outlets, websites, etc
- Conceptualizes design layout of finished art for reproduction and coordinates final production of finished products.
- Coordinates the printing of marketing materials, web pages, digital advertising, signage updates, office publications, and other digital as well as printed materials.
- Manages all phases of design solutions from concept to production under minimal supervision.Collaborates with marketing staff to build awareness of institutional services in the community.
- Provides web developers with proper files for web-based and digital projects.
- Performs pre-press production to files to ensure quality before delivery to vendors, and attends/supervises press checks as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in related field or equivalent
· Two to four years related experience or equivalent
· Proficient on Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, video editing software
· Ability to conceptualize creative concepts
· Ability to direct and recommend cost-effective creative solutions
· Commitment to excellence and high standards
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Excellent presentation skills
EDUCATION:
A college degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Graphic Design, Communications or closely related field is required.
