Job Summary :
AssetWorks is seeking an experienced Product Owner for our industry-leading Fleet management products. We are looking for a results-driven self-starter who will be responsible for overseeing & delivering the timely release of our software products.
As a key member of the product development team, you will collaborate cross-functionally across Product Management, UI / UX, Engineering and QA to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.
This position will be responsible for driving adherence to agile principals managing release planning and accelerating our innovation to our customers.
Job Description :
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Set user story standards and ensure test and acceptance criteria for them
- Work with Product Manager and UX to refine user stories
- Monitor and enforce Jira Hygiene
- Facilitate feature / bug / tech debt prioritization with Product Managers
- Facilitate / ensure yearly, release, and sprint work plans
- Manage backlog continuously prioritizing and adjusting based on business needs
- Regularly communicate status, escalate issues, and remove blockers
- Establish and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Act as a Release Manager to help plan releases and ensure timely delivery
Requirements :
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related STEM field from an accredited college or university.
Asset Management domain knowledge and / or experience working with state and local governments is a plus.
The successful candidate will possess the following :
- 10 years in enterprise software development
- Prior experience as a product owner, scrum master, or software product management
- Experience using Jira to build and track epics and user stories and construct a release pipeline
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
- Experience with overseeing CI / CD pipelines
- Skilled at collaborating across departments and internal stakeholders
- An ability to drive product decisions often across stakeholders with incomplete information
- Have experience with refining development methodologies to improve the delivery and velocity of releases and user stories
- Must be able to work with changing deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or similar certification is a plus.
