Summary : The Senior Regulatory Affairs Specialist is responsible for managing regulatory functions associated with our business.

This role involves providing expert advice and guidance to the organization on regulatory matters. Specific areas of responsibility include compliance with regulations from the Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Transportation (DOT), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and Export regulations.

Specific Regulatory Functions :

EPA :

OSHA :

Details to be discussed internally)

DOT :

Conduct TSCA and NIST searches to ensure company compliance.

Manage SARA (Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act) information and submit the annual Tier 2 report.

Participate in the Local Emergency Planning Committee.

Maintain the Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plan and Oil Discharge Contingency Plan.

Oversee hazardous and nonhazardous waste processes and submit annual Toxic Release Inventory reporting.

GHS (Globally Harmonized System) :

Familiarize yourself with The Wercs SDS and labeling software.

Maintain current labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all products.

Collaborate with the Manufacturing Team to ensure compliance with OSHA requirements.

Maintain accurate records related to safety.

Keep the safety manual up-to-date.

DOT Hazmat Certification :

Obtain or maintain DOT Hazmat certification.

Organize and schedule Hazmat certifications.

Provide regulatory support for domestic and international shipment of products.

REACH and Other International Regulations :

Stay informed about REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals) and other relevant international regulations.
