What are the responsibilities and job description for the Activity Assistant -Part Time position at Assisted Living?
This position is primarily responsible for assisting the Activity Director in planning, organizing, developing and directing the lifestyles/activities department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and in accordance with the Company’s established policies and procedures by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Promotes resident socialization, plans and implements activities and programs for all residents.
Integrates the family and community in planned programs and activities.
Assures all programs meet the interests and physical, mental, and psychosocial well being of the residents.
Encourages resident participation in programs and activities.
Provides direct "hands-on" services for participants of fitness classes.
Responsible for the physical set-up, clean-up, safety and storing of supplies.
Assists with planning and organizing special events for the residents.
Assists in coordinating and the evaluation of resident activities.
Decorates the community for special events, seasons and holidays.
Escorts residents on activities away from the property as assigned.
Follow the policies and procedures in the Employee Handbook and the Company’s Manual.
Possess full knowledge and compliance of Chapter DHS 89 (Residential Care Apartment Complexes) and Chapter DHS 83 (Community-Based Residential Facilities *if applicable).
Respond to all emergencies in accordance to the policy and procedures as well as provides emergency cares within the scope of practice.
Attends all Staff Meetings and Educational Events that are mandatory.
Maintains a professional presence at all times.
Be on time and ready to work when your shift begins.
Conducts activities at the direction of the Activity Director. Any duty requested by Management and the Activity Director.

Pay: From $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 16 per week
