Job Summary
This position will work closely with Quality Assurance Manager and Quality Assurance Leads and will have a strong understanding of software life cycle testing methodologies. The IT Testing Analyst is responsible for writing test cases, creating test data, creating automated test scripts, executing manual and automated testing and validating test results. This position is also responsible for documenting and coordinating resolution and retesting of defects, communicating test results and meeting or exceeding project timelines. This role is further responsible for cross-training as necessary and contributing to Quality Assurance documentation, standards, processes and procedures.
Job Accountabilities
- Active involvement in all aspects of testing and quality assurance (QA) life cycle for assigned projects. Creation of clear, concise test cases and data from specifications, creation of automated test scripts, execution of manual and automated testing, defect documentation, tracking, retesting and communication.
- Review work performed by contract testing resources and provide feedback on deliverables and progress.
- Assist with test environment and test data managements tasks and activities to support the data security and quality requirements.
- Contribute to testing and quality assurance documentation outlining standards, processes and procedures.
- Assist the Testing and Quality Assurance Manager in creating key status reports / metrics to be presented to Senior Management and the project teams.
- Represent the Testing and Quality Assurance Center in project meetings and when appropriate create meeting minutes to document action items, target completion dates and person(s) responsible when appropriate.
- Conduct cross training of testing resources as needed.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Information Technology or equivalent Required
- Bachelor's Degree Computer Information Systems, Business or Finance Preferred
- 4-7 years Knowledge of and experience in software testing and Quality Assurance Life Cycle Management with exposure to manual and automated testing. Required
- 2-4 years Experience creating test scenarios & test cases based on requirements. Required
- Less than 2 years Exposure to On site / Offshore working model. Experience working with HP Testing tool set (UFT, QC, Load Runner) Preferred
