General Responsibilities:
The FEA Payroll Supervisor performs a wide range of duties that require independent judgment in preparing and processing fiscal activities and other transactions to ensure compliance with federal, state, waiver, and funding agency guidelines.
Essential Job Functions:
Effectively and professionally communicate with all internal and external customers.
Provide excellent customer service through quick follow-up and resolution to concerns and questions.
Adhere to established LKiChoice policies, procedures, and expectations.
Ensure processes and forms meet the expectations of all federal, state, waiver, and funding agency guidelines.
Familiarity and adherence to all fiscal agent policies and procedures.
Complete documentation and requests from federal, state, waiver, and funding agencies promptly.
Work on FEA policies and procedures to keep them updated or created for the program.
Maintain the LKiChoice FEA website.
Work with IT on projects for the FEA payroll department.
Work as a backup for FEA Payroll Specialist and Referral Specialists when needed.
Supervise the work of payroll staff to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures, correcting errors or problems.
Resolve customer complaints or answer customers’ questions regarding policies and procedures.
Provide employees with guidance in handling difficult or complex problems or resolving escalated complaints or disputes.
Review records or reports about production or payroll to verify details, monitor work activities, or assist the FEA manager in evaluating performance.
Discuss job performance problems with employees to identify causes and issues to work on resolving problems.
Train or instruct employees in job duties or company policies or arrange for training to be provided.
Job Requirements:
Documented formal education or experience related to accounting and financial management.
Working knowledge of laws and regulations pertinent to essential job functions.
Successfully pass a criminal background check-up on hire and every four years.
Ability to meet company transportation expectations.
General math, clerical, data entry, and customer service.
Proficiency in Outlook and Microsoft Office with a specific focus on Microsoft Excel.
Work independently, with limited direction, and excellent time management skills.
Manage multiple projects and work assignments.
