Job Summary
The Claims Manager handles property and casualty claims for large and mid-market commercial clients. Will monitor and review new claims and establish a plan of action to achieve a favorable result. Reviews claim status and reserves and provide updates to clients and internal staff. Advocates consult and provide coverage advice to clients as appropriate.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Please note that the duties below can vary based on the workflow of your local office.
- Independently and pro-actively manages claims for assigned accounts including complex and challenging issues.
- Works closely with clients, account executives, producers, managers, and insurance carriers.
- Investigates coverage questions and problems.
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely fashion following established guidelines.
- Operates independently and can service demanding clients who expect prompt attention.
- Actively researches and obtains claims data from carriers
- Advocates for the best possible claim outcome for clients.
- Attends and facilitates client meetings and claim reviews.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Travel is expected to be 25% in this role.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and 4-5 years of related claims experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Tech-savvy; ability to learn multiple systems including Microsoft Office Suite and Agency Management software
- Has a detailed understanding of claim coverages, processing, policy construction, and the insurance industry in general
- Valid Adjuster and Property and Casualty Agent license preferred
- Professional designations preferred

Pay: $50,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
