Overview
The Employee Relations Specialist will be responsible for supporting the design, development, and delivery of a suite of Employee Relations programs and projects. You will partner closely with Corporate and Regional HR Leadership and cross functional stakeholders to be the subject matter expert on all things employee relations.

What You'll Do
- Act as a trusted advisor to Corporate and Regional HR leadership to provide guidance and support on all escalated employee relations matters, including performance management, progressive discipline, leaves of absence, and investigations.
- Triage employee complaints, grievances, and concerns; maintaining confidentiality and impartiality.
- Track investigations from start to finish and provide additional support by scheduling interviews, taking detailed notes, and more.
- Provide support to Regional HR leadership to complete climate surveys as necessary.
- Partner with LOA team to evaluate complex leave cases.
- Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
- Support development, implementation and auditing of HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and best practices.
- Support the development and maintenance of a consistent and well-documented approach to the above matters; ensure own documentation is in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Create best practice guides to address reoccurring employee relations issues with varying levels complexity and support HR leadership to resolve.
- Assist with the review and revision the employee handbook to reflect current laws and company policies annually and as needed.
- Flexibility to support all US time zones.
- Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need
- Bachelor's Degree; or a minimum of four years HR experience and/or training in a generalist capacity; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- HR Certification (e.g. PHR, SHRM-CP, etc.) or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire is preferred
- Tech savvy; ability to navigate multiple systems including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with Regional HR and LOA Teams.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to multi-task and manage various project elements simultaneously.
- Strong and thorough working knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
- Proficient in ADA and FMLA.
- Strong attention to detail.
