Senior Account Representative - PL

Overview

The Senior Account Representative is a position that is responsible for maintaining a growing a smaller book of business while also providing a high level of support at direction of Account Executive and Producer. Working with Producers to design proper insurance/risk management services for clients is vital in this position. The Senior Account Representative has carrier product knowledge, assists in production and renewal accounts, paralleling, agency and individual Producer goals and can assist clients with service needs.

This is a great stepping stone role into an Account Executive/ sales position!

Responsibilities

Please note that the duties below can vary based on the workflow of your local office.

• Works directly with Producers and Account Executive to write new business and design insurance/risk management plans.
• Assists in the development of strong business relationships with insurance company personnel and capable of marketing accounts to insurance companies and wholesalers as needed.
• Meets directly with clients to guide them through the renewal process including, renewal exposures, submitting request to carriers based on the renewal timetable.
• Provides customer service support such as processing change request, and review of insurance contracts.
• Maintains follow up on outstanding correspondence, reports, renewal expirations and follows up promptly.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Travel is expected to be 25% in this role.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree from college or technical school; or 4-8 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Property and Casualty License
• 5 years of experience in personal lines and/or commercial lines with 1-3 years of experience of independently managing a book at an insurance agency
• Tech savvy; ability to navigate multiple systems including Agency Management Software; Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products
• Professional designations preferred
