Overview
Project Manager is responsible for the overall project and ensures all deliverables are met on time and within budget. Leads and coordinates all agency management system conversions from their original source system to the Applied Epic/AMS 360 platform, where applicable. Will work with both Applied/Vertafore, 3rd party vendors, AssuredPartners Systems Data Analyst’s and Trainers, and the agency Project Manager to ensure a successful conversion process.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate with Applied/Vertafore, Accounting, IT Departments, and any 3rd party systems as applicable to successfully and efficiently convert AssuredPartners Agency Management System data into Epic/AMS360. Work with the agencies employees before, during, and after conversion to maximize data integration and integrity.
- Develop and maintain project plans and/or conversion templates and instructions for each type of agency management system conversion (AMS360, Sagitta, etc.) as well as 3rd party systems (ET File, Benefit Point, etc.) to promote efficiencies in future conversions.
- Analyze each upcoming conversion alongside the Regional Operations Lead and Agency Project Manager to determine if a full conversion or a manual conversion is more appropriate; each office could have different nuances to address that need to be understood.
- Develop and maintain fully executable plans for both “full conversions”, meaning having the source systems as well as Applied Epic/Vertafore involved who will do the data merge, as well as “manual conversions”, meaning the AssuredPartners team with the Regional and Local office will be responsible for getting all the available information into Applied Epic/Vertafore completely.
- Coordinate any data extractions to a 3rd party, in the event of a book sale, for example.
- Demonstrates proficient knowledge (or willingness to learn) in Epic/Vertafore Reports and Microsoft Excel. Acts as a resource to management, production and service staff when report needs arise.
- Develop project budgets to be presented to the agency and AP leadership.
- Provide weekly status updates to the Director of Operating System of each project.
- Coordinate scheduling with the training team a 90-120 day post conversion optimization meeting with the agency to discover any issues or concerns, if applicable
- Ensure all deadlines of the conversion team are met and satisfied that are set by Applied/Vertafore and/or Management.
- Develop deliverables to the agency for conversion projects.
- Some travel may be required, approximately 20%. During the course of the project it may be beneficial to have the Project Manager on site which can be determined by each project nuances.

What You'll Need
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and/or Minimum of 3-5 years insurance experience; Insurance Industry Project Management experience.
- Valid Property and Casualty Insurance License.
