Purpose:
The Assistant Director will assist brand management in preparing, building, and ensuring execution of the strategic and tactical plans for both Veozah and Myrbetriq. This position will be responsible for collating/analyzing data to inform the strategic direction for the brand and leading the development of the US tactical plan. The successful candidate will need to collaborate extensively with other functions – Insights & Analytics, Sales Operations, Digital Operations, Med Affairs, and Global Marketing – to ensure the success of the brand.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Analyzes research insights to inform strategic imperatives; consults with Senior Director and proposes additional data needs for strategic planning.
Supervises the plan that assembles the appropriate marketing insights for the disease states/product areas to which assigned, i.e., Situation Analysis.
Leads development of Digital HCP campaigns for both Veozah and Myrbetriq.
Leads HCP media plan for both Veozah and Myrbetriq.
Effectively collaborates with commercial insights and OSO partners to assess tactical execution and optimize HCP media activity both Veozah and Myrbetriq.
Leads partnership with OSO to effectively pull through and implement internal digital platforms.
Leads development of a tactical plan that parallels the completed Brand Plan (strategic choices).
Co-leads HCP A&P budget management.
Develops metric measurements to assess the efficacy of tactics and strategies.
Suggests opportunities to collaborate with cross functional colleagues in implementing strategic and tactical plans and determining improvements for change.
Implement other support functions as assigned by Senior marketing director.
Quantitative Dimensions:
Sales Budget: This position has a direct impact on both the strategic and tactical direction for the brand assigned. These significant contributions to Brand Planning and subsequent product achievement are the result of the critical input expected from this position by which Product Management makes strategic choices.
A and P Budget: Directly impacted by the efficient use of resources including: vendors, negotiation for services both internally and externally and monitoring of budget.

Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree.
This level requires 10 years’ experience (marketing, sales, sales training, market research, marketing operations, etc.) and/or equivalent education.
Demonstrated ability to be a high-level contributor or leader of multiple projects, processes or functions.
Should have the ability to converse with professionals about several disease states/product categories that are targeted by Astellas.
Ability to present complex issues to higher level management and contribute to high level presentations and discussions is a must.
Must be willing to travel (approximately 40%).
Preferred:
Education beyond bachelor’s degree.
Strong experience in several of the disease state or product categories targeted by Astellas.
Specialized training in several disease state areas is a big plus as is specialized education in pharmaceutical marketing.
