Astera Health is looking for a Laboratory Courier to join our team. The primary role for the Laboratory Courier is to provide internal and external courier services of laboratory supplies and specimens to rural clinics, main laboratory, and other locations as needed.
Schedule/Hours Available:
- Casual position scheduled at 20-30 hours bi-weekly. Monday through Friday starting at 3:00pm to approximately 5:00/6:00pm.
Responsibilities required, but not limited to:
- Provide internal and external courier service of laboratory supplies and specimens to rural clinics, main laboratory, and other locations as needed.
- Timely, safe, and accurate deliveries.
- Ensuring laboratory specimens are securely stored in the delivery vehicle.
- Utilization of “Body Substance” infection control methods in performance of daily tasks.
- Work cooperatively with members of other departments to maintain interdepartmental relationships.
Education and Experience Required:
- Valid Class D Minnesota drivers license.
- High school diploma or equivalence Or; an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential responsibilities and duties of the job as listed above.
