This is a regional float position scheduled at 64 hours per biweekly pay period, 4 varying days per week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. TCHC offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life and retirement. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Performs nursing techniques for the comfort and well-being of the patient; prepares equipment and assists provider during treatments and examination of patients
- Takes temperature, pulse, respiratory rate, blood pressure, height and weight to detect deviations from normal, and gauges progress of patient following provider’s order
- Observes, reports and documents subjective/objective data to maintain an accurate and timely medical record
- Observes emotional stability of patients, expresses interest in their progress and prepares them for continuing care; explains procedures and treatments ordered to gain patient’s cooperation and allay apprehension
- Cooperates with all nurses in providing quality care to the patients, works with other departments to provide seamless, quality care to all patients
Competencies required include:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service, patient care and overall experience
- Understanding of health care system and continuum of care
- Strong computer skills with ability to become skilled in EPIC with training
Education and experience required:
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Minnesota
Immunization requirements include: MMR, Hepatitis B (based on the position), Tdap, Varicella, Influenza, COVID-19
