Job Title : Behavioral Health Research Associate
Job Description
We are currently seeking a Behavioral Health Research Associate who is passionate about the mental health field and has a strong interest in quantitative and qualitative research.
As a part of our team, you will be involved in conducting research on the organization, funding, operation, services, policies, statutes, staffing, and consumers of State Mental Health Agencies (SMHAs) and providers.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to develop your skills in systems research and policy within the public behavioral health system.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, designing and carrying out research projects, communicating with staff from SMHAs and partner organizations, synthesizing literature related to mental health services, serving as a liaison with pilot, research, or development sites, developing procedures for data collection, writing reports of literature reviews or research results, assisting in organizing meetings, and preparing and conducting presentations based on research activities.
Hard Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, Sociology, Social Work, or humanities
- Experience (including internships) of one year minimum (two or more years preferred) within social services or mental health or substance abuse
- Experience working within the state government system or for a non-profit interacting with social services

Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
Work Environment
This is a fully remote position. However, if you are living in the DMV area, you will be required to come into the office two days per month.
