What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavioral Health Billing Specialist position at Aston Carter?
Description:
As a Behavioral Health Billing Specialist, your primary responsibility in this role will be reviewing/processing behavioral health claims for submission, verification of insurance, submitting claims and following up as needed for additional information; own confirmation of supporting data to ensure invoice accuracy, while working through specific billing discrepancies. What you’ll do: • Strong working knowledge in Medicaid, Commercial and Managed Care plans • Maintain knowledge of insurance plans and urgent care billing practices and procedures • Strong knowledge of third-party payer processes, well versed in billing procedures, documentation, and regulations • Pre-claim visit review for billing purposes. • Review and action on claims denied, underpaid, and unpaid. • Support internal and external customers through insurance verifications, accurate & timely filing/submission of claims. While maintaining accompanying reporting for all claims submitted. • Support insurance verification, update/correct patient insurance information, outbound/inbound member calls as needed, along with other duties, as assigned • Ensuring credentialing and contract setup is complete for new offices and patients If you are looking to grow within a company and enjoy working in a team setting with in the Revenue Cycle we invite you to join our team.
