What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Analyst position at Aston Carter?
Partner with Finance and IT resources to assist with coordination around translating business needs into system requirements. The Business Analyst will be an integral part of the Finance Department.
- Analyze and document business needs into clear and concise requirements
- Develop and maintain documentation of data flows within the finance department and of all systems related to assigned finance units
- Assists in identifying technology deficiencies and propose changes
- Work with Finance department personnel to implement and test revised/new business processes
- Coordinate efforts to gather requirements for multiple initiatives
- Research and recommend control standards, procedures, and practices to management
- Develop and maintain quality assurance procedures
- Work with diverse teams comprised of all disciplines
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelors in Business or related field
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Adaptable and strong attention to detail
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an analyst or project management role supporting complex systems development
- Experience with data manipulation software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with data analysis
- Proficiency in SSIS and SSRS
- Nice to haves: MS Access / Excel, proficiency in SQL server
