Non-profit company that offers a network of services and programs that connect individuals suffering from mental health, substance abuse, and physical disabilities with a community that will support their daily living operations. This Non-profit is well-established with facilities throughout New England supporting over 400 members.

General Information:

Hours: Monday-Friday: 8:00am-4:00pm (40 hours/week)

Location: 3 Positions available: Medford, Haverhill, and Wakefield. Haverhill, Candidate is REQUIRED to be bilingual in Spanish & English.

Job Description:

The Specialist helps individuals with disabilities realize their full career potential by providing community resources, training, and one-on-one support.

Key Responsibilities

• Works under limited supervision, actively engaging members to achieve the goals in their person-centered plans through role modeling, skills training, and relationship building, supporting the development of competencies and capabilities.
• Follows all agency policies, procedures and standards including timesheets, daily logs, progress notes, and accident/incident reports
• Plans and implements the vocational assessment, placement, training and follow-along for given caseload.
• Oversees employment sites for caseload of members/individuals served, maintaining positive working relationships with community employers.
• Develops job opportunities and employer relationships to include individual and group placements that correspond to members/individuals’ interests and skills.
• Provides job training, coaching, and support to program members at their worksite (if applicable).
• Must demonstrate proficiency in effectively using Word, Outlook, Credible, timecard keeping, and learning management system

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s plus one year of relevant personal or professional experience or High school diploma, GED or HiSet required with three years of relevant experience.
• Must maintain valid driver’s license, 3 years driving experience as a licensed driver, good driving record, use of passenger vehicle with compulsory auto insurance and vehicle registration, and willingness to transport program members in personal and/or agency vehicle. Must be able to travel within the region to access residential settings, employers, and community organizations.
