What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instructional Designer - REMOTE position at Aston Carter?
Description:
Client is looking for someone to join our training team who has a strong LMS experience with a passion for clarity and helping people learn. Ideally, you have experience designing and building online job aids and references, and interacting with LMS systems to support content teams in uploading, testing, and maintaining e-learning content.
Our team develops and maintains training programs that support a wide range of audiences. We have technical expertise to help us build interactive, online solutions for on-the-job training, but we need your thoughtful technical skills to allow program teams to host and maintain content. We are looking for a self-driven learner who can dive deep into complex content about our tools and systems, and then think through the best way to help other people learn them.
You must be able to:
-Collaborate effectively with subject matter experts to define learning objectives.
-Perform needs analysis and evaluate existing documentation to identify the most appropriate training approach and content to meet the demands of the learning objectives and audience.
-Navigate and utilize the wide range of functionalities hosted within LMS systems including uploading, testing, and maintaining e-learning content
-Build processes and templates to minimize the development time for new training materials, and to help others participate in our development cycle.
- Help maintain existing programs to ensure the content remains complete and relevant
Key Projects:
-Management of SIMS trouble tickets for the Learning Management Systems (LMS), which is KNET for Amazon.
-Meeting with stakeholders to understand tickets/requests and answering/fulfilling the tickets/requests.
-Daily admin
-Preparing and assisting in the decentralization of the LMS responsibility from one team to each individual Program Team.
-Ticket-based support
-Creating Instructional Documents
-Working with Program teams to train them.
-LMS backend work.
Hours: M-F, 8-5
