Description:
This position will be responsible for booking payroll, month-end close processes and payroll liability account reconciliations for multiple companies in addition to performing payroll information corrections and extractions from PeopleSoft, journal entries, analysis, and various information requests from auditors and various company departments. The position will need to be filled with a flexible and personable individual who will be able to complete requests from various departments in the company
- Responsible for weekly and bi-weekly payroll postings through PeopleSoft
- Maintain integrity of payroll information, configurations and mapping in PeopleSoft
- Locate and correct errors in eTime
- Responsible for account variance analysis and reporting
- Prepare payroll liability account reconciliations, identifying and explaining significant outstanding items
- Assist with quarterly and annual audit process as requested
- Ad hoc requests by internal management and regulatory departments
- Support all departments with various project requests
- 5-7 years of accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree
- understanding of accounting practices and principles
- strong communication skills
- proficient in excel
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Must adhere to the highest standards of ethical behavior when carrying out job responsibilities
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality
- Highly motivated and team-oriented individual
- Detail-oriented and strong analytical skills
- Excellent organization skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
