Description:
Responsible for managing the overall direction of a single large or multiple smaller projects from analysis through implementation, with impact both within and across business units.
Provides direction in use of project management and project lifecycle methodologies.
Serve as project manager for one or more projects.
Responsible for meeting timelines, budget, quality and resource commitments for project(s).
Manage and coordinate project direction from analysis through implementation.
Actively manage the assembling of the project team, determining project task assignments, identifying resource requirements, developing and maintaining project schedule, coordinating the project activities and adhering to project deadlines.
Provide regular updates to team, management and PMO on work performed, plans, budget and overall status.
Conduct team meetings, communicate updates to the team and other interested parties.
Manage scope of project and elevate significant changes to the appropriate management.
May be responsible for instructing, directing and checking the work of other team members. Design and implement project organizational structure that is efficient and cost effective.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in a business related field or equivalent training/experience required. Minimum 5 years experience performing in project management. Experience with MS Office and project development/management tools required.
Preferred Qualifications: Project management, FMLI, ACS 100, AIAA 200 certifications preferred. Proven experience interacting with management. Excellent verbal and written skills. Proven experience in the following areas: utilizing interviewing/negotiation skills coordinating and facilitating small and large group meetings utilizing planning/organization skills and techniques managing multiple priorities and project staff and utilizing analysis and problem solving skills.
