Quality Manager - Now Hiring

Description:

• Lead and support initiatives, including ownership of the Quality assessment process, to establish and/or improve the company’s Quality procedures, standards, and specifications

• Identify process improvements to support the inspection cycle time reduction efforts

• Work with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers setting standards for quality

• Promote the use of relevant quality tools whilst making sure managers and other staff understand how to improve the business

• Manage a staff of 25-40

• Monitor and evaluate staff and adjust training where needed

• Act as a role model and coach for staff

• Monitor and Report on the team’s progress through KPI’s

• Effectively remove roadblocks as they arise.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5-8 year’s business/lean/operations experience, driving team excellence, and managing people.

• Experience in quality control in a manufacturing and assembly environment

• Proven leadership skills (lead, motivate, process and people management skills).

• Experience in improvement processes (i.e. Six Sigma, Lean, etc.).

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and SAP

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Effective time management and organizational skills

• Detail oriented

• Ability to multi-task while maintaining a sense of urgency

• Work with minimal supervision

• Effective problem solving skills

• Authority to make changes happen across functions and departments.

• Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel.

• Excellent understanding of analytical tools and proficiency in root cause analysis, probability and statistics.

• Strong leadership abilities, including the ability to drive improvement projects throughout the organization and ensure strict adherence to policies from management to line level in the face of resistance to change

• Excellent project management skills

• Self-motivated and resilient
