Description:
We are looking for a sharp, detail-orientated individual that has experience within Operational Accounting (General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Payroll, Prepaids, Product Accounting, Accruals and Warranties), proficiency with SAP & HFM, and experience assisting with monthly/quarterly/annual close processes.
This role is 100% remote, M-F 9/5 with the expectation of some overtime to close processes.
Day-at-a-glance:
- Take ownership of assigned month end accounting and reporting tasks, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations and financial reports.
- Take ownership of G/L account reconciliations including researching and resolving reconciling differences.
- Perform balance sheet and departmental trend analysis including leading review with executive team.
- Verify accuracy of financial data and make recommendations for corrections.
- Ensure accounting standards are followed and identify process improvements where needed.
- Perform monthly SOX testing and ensure compliance is maintained.
- Lead intercompany reconciliation processes.
- Implement process improvement initiatives.
- Assist with annual financial audits.
- Support annual budget process.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 4 years as an Accountant.
- General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Payroll, Prepaids, Product Accounting, Accruals and Warranties.
- Experience working within a publicly traded company.
- B.A. within Accounting, Finance, or Equivalent Field.
- Experience assisting with monthly/quarterly/annual close processes in under 4 days.
- Proficiency with SAP & HFM
Nice-to-haves:
- 5 years as an Accountant.
- General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Payroll, Prepaids, Product Accounting, Accruals and Warranties.
- 3 years' experience working within a publicly traded company.
- B.A. within Accounting, Finance, or Equivalent Field.
- Experience assisting with monthly/quarterly/annual close processes in under 4 days.
- Proficiency with SAP & HFM
