Aston Carter is partnering with a long standing client in downtown Kansas City seeking (2) Senior Accountants for their growing team! Description:
- Prepare month end journal entries adhering to the deadlines set by upper management
- Prepare account reconciliations with the required supporting documentation, researching any variances that result
- Oversee fixed asset reporting including reconciliation of fixed asset system to GL, monthly depreciation entries, fixed asset additions and CIP projects
- Serve as a liaison between the General Ledger group and other departments for proper coding of payables in adherence with US GAAP and Company’s accounting policies
- Perform variance analysis for income statement accounts on a monthly basis
- Collaborate with all departments of the Company, including payroll, risk management, and operations to ensure efficacy of accounting operations
- Assist with the Company’s year-end audit
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Microsoft Excel - Intermediate Level
- General Ledger, Month end close, and Reconciliation experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Capability to work cooperatively in a team environment and collaboratively across all levels of employees, management and third parties
- Ability to meet assigned deadlines and schedules
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills
