What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Buyer Planner position at Aston Carter?
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the daily purchase of commodities and services at or below estimated cost to support manufacturing.
- Submits and analyzes quotes to suppliers and executes sourcing decisions based on price, lead time, and quality while adhering to project requirements.
- Issues PO’s (Purchase Orders) to suppliers and ensures order confirmations are received.
- Responsible to maintain accurate and up to date PO and part ordering information within ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system (Syteline).
- Coordinates supplier requests for drawing approvals and deviations to appropriate internal departments.
- Reviews cancellation/exception report and adjusts open PO’s as necessary.
- Communicates open PO promise date changes that affect job order dates to Sales, Project Management, Engineering, and Production.
- Meets/exceeds individual and departmental KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators).
- Creates MRR’s (Material Review Report) within ERP system for non-confirming product and serves as primary point of contact with suppliers to resolve all open issues.
- Collaborates with Warehouse and Production Personnel on MRR’s to control and disposition non-confirming product with minimizing impact on job order dates.
- Works with Accounting to resolve invoicing issues.
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of Associate’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a similar field with equivalent experience is required.
- 3 years of buying and planning in a manufacturing environment

Salary : $70,000 - $75,000
