What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Data Analyst position at Aston Carter?
Location: Fully Remote until further notice – however, need to be in a market in case they go FTE or are ever called back into office for hybrid schedule
EXPERIENCE:
- 6 years of experience in data management, data analysis, and remediations
- Large Corporate entity experience preferred
- Advanced SAS - will be utilizing and running codes that are already created
- Advanced SQL - utilizing and running codes that are already created
- Advanced Excel - will write formulas and perform data analysis
- Advanced Data Analysis skills with focus on remediation (specifically look through large data sets, interpreting information, and making updates)
- Advanced level experience with gathering business requirements, standards, and/or guidelines such as workbooks, data request docs, etc.
- Intermediate MS PowerPoint – Experience creating leadership presentations and reports
- Jira (CREMA) and/or SharePoint experience – basic understanding – clean ups – updating previous work
- Must be able to pull data from big data environments, then run calculations to get financial impacts (Mgr doesn’t want as much forecasting and modeling)
- Must be able to identify populations, drive to get requirements, own documentation…
JOB SUMMARY:
- Advise experienced leadership to develop, analytical strategies for complex business and technical needs
- Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring data from multiple sources
- Design and lead complex projects, and data analyses
- Engage with peers, managers risk, compliance, managers across the enterprise
- Perform and test highly complex data analytics for customer remediations
- Provide end-to-end ownership of analytics projects including requirements development, code development, testing, peer review, and data driven guidance/recommendations for remediation strategies
- Design analysis projects flow and documentation that is structured for consistency, easy to understand, and to be offered to multiple levels of reviewers, partners, and regulatory agents demonstrating research and analysis completed
- Investigate and ensure data integrity from multiple sources
- Ensure data recommended and used is the best “source of truth”
- Apply knowledge of business, customers, and products to synthesize data to 'form a story' and align information to contrast/compared to industry perspective. Data involved is typically very large, structured or unstructured, and from multiple sources
- Must have a strong attention to detail and be able to meet high quality standards consistently
- Resource will be supporting the front-end requirements gathering process and pre-execution work for remediation teams
- Perform data analysis on presented materials to find consistency
- Perform Intake calls with other teams to streamline processes
DUTIES:
- Partner with Risk, LOBs, Remediation Leads, Data Leads, Execution Leads, and Execution Data Support teams to support intake process, data reports, and customer remediation requirement responsibilities
- Lead discussions and perform data analysis in support of customer remediation requirements development
- Translate and summarize complex analysis into understandable, actionable insights and recommendations that directly drive effective business strategy
- Partner with various teams to facilitate daily operational processing including Manual review requests, Intake Assignments, Innovis Address Scrub Validation, Lexis Nexis Skip Trace requests, Peer Review Assignments, Missing SSN Requests, and Pre-execution reporting.
- Facilitate, document, and track operational and code changes related to EDR (Execution Data Request) changes across multiple LOBs
- Support/drive development of presentations, process flows, documentation as needed, across various audiences
- Creation, maintenance, development of process and procedure improvements for CEDS scope expansion
- Provide support to ad-hoc requests as needed
