SWIFT Analyst

Our client is actively looking to hire a SWIFT Analyst to join their team and assist with the extra work load.

Purpose of the Position:

This position performs the periodic credit review of the bank’s corporate customers. This includes the production of a credit applications, credit review and credit grading. This position is responsible for the thorough and accurate analysis and assessment of the creditworthiness of the bank’s customers. Additionally, this position, during the credit analysis process, reviews and ensures compliance with all covenants and terms and conditions of the credit and reviews all associated documentation and collateral material. This position ensures the team complete their work within deadline and to the standard as per policies. This position is also responsible to assist the Team Leader provide training to other credit analysts and provide guidance and assistance with checking reviews/applications.

Key Accountabilities:

• Analyses borrowers’/potential borrowers’ financial performance, projections, industry conditions and compiles credit application in compliance with bank’s policies and guidelines. Reviews the work carefully to ensure quality and meet deadline

• Collaborates effectively with account managers and credit departments to ensure high quality credit applications and smooth circulation process Responds to relevant Credit Department’s requests by investigating and assessing validity with respect to change in conditions in a bilateral loan, to protect Bank’s position and preserve the credit quality.

• Co-ordinates with account managers to periodically update the future Action Plan with low profitability and lower grade customers and report the plan to the Credit Department.

• Monitor financial performance of borrowers for special weak credit and initiates periodic reviews

• Prepares various daily, weekly and monthly reports on borrowers (facilities, exposure etc.) to circulate to dept. head, account officers, and management.

• Responsible for controlling the credit alarm trigger reports.

• Prepares quarterly Head Office reports related to problem loans and asset classifications.

• Performs weekly check in GBR (proprietary bank loan application system) for borrowers’ / parent’s grading change as well as conditions / instructions/ opinions posted by Credit department and auditors.

• Assists Corporate bankers /relationship managers in performing various front office duties as requested.

Responsibility for Supervision:

Assists the VP Credit Administration to manage the department. Serves as vacation back – up for VP, Credit Administration.

Responsibility for Resources:

Responsible for the thorough and accurate assessment of the Bank’s loan assets.

Decision Making Responsibility:

Monitors credit and produces review reports.

Experience:

5 years previous related corporate banking experience in credit administration and analysis

Computer Applications: Microsoft Office, Excel, GBR, enquiry knowledge of Loan IQ, , S&P Capital IQ
