Description:
Under the direction of higher-level management this individual would work directly with internal Hitachi personnel as well as outside parties. This position is a subject matter expert in the areas of import/export procedures, duty and tariff classifications, and other trade related compliance requirements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Primary Responsibilities: • Classify goods according to Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification and Schedule B and provide broker instruction as necessary. • Complete ECCN analysis as necessary • Assist in various types of import/export topic analysis (COO, valuation, HTS, ECCN) • Provide broker instructions as needed for COO, HTS, valuation for imported goods. • Assist in auditing export documentation in accordance with U.S. regulations and company polices. • Complete monthly reports with the utilization of the CBP ACE portal reporting system • Ability to conduct training concerning various topics, including Incoterms, import and export procedures. • Complete analysis and documentation for free trade agreements, including USMCA, KORUS, USJTA, among others. • Support Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) policies and procedures as needed. • Support other projects as necessary.
