Astoria Marketplace is seeking and accepting applications for a Part Time Cashier position.

Requirements

  • · Minimum one-year experience as a cashier in a supermarket environment.
  • Must be familiar with POS system .
  • Must be able to take phone orders and do online orders when needed and required.
  • Greet Customers when entering and leaving the establishment.
  • Responsible for ringing and packing orders for customers.
  • Basic math skills, count cash register at the beginning of their shift.
  • Accurately collect proper payment and provide change.
  • Lifting up to 50 lb.
  • Bending, twisting, pulling, & reaching.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Applicants must be comfortable working with food
  • Provide excellent Customer Service and always maintaining a positive demeanor.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work place.
  • Other duties may be assigned as required , depending upon the available time ,business volume and other criteria as determined by your supervisors.
  • Maintain a regular and punctual attendance.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week

Shift:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Evening shift
  • Night shift

Weekly day range:

  • Every weekend
  • Monday to Friday
  • Rotating weekends
  • Weekends as needed
