Job Summary
The Broadband Technician I is responsible for residential installation and disconnections for data, video, and phone on the customer premises with a high level of focus on customer service, customer education, and quality of work. This role will be responsible for ensuring and recording correct RF signal levels. The BBT I is required to communicate with leadership and dispatch as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
Residential install and disconnects* (data, video, phone) on customer premises
Ensure/record correct RF and signal levels within specifications
Communication with leadership and dispatch as needed
Customer education
Operate company vehicle in safe and responsible manner
Other duties as assigned
Requirements/Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: 0 (Entry Level)
Competencies: Maintain satisfactory driving record and have a valid driver's license
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ladder; Hand or Power Tools; Customer Service; Communication (verbal, written); Basic Computer Skills; Aptitude to learn to skills; Problem solving; Time Management; Teamwork; Working alone
The base salary range in New Yorkfor this position is$16.88 - $18.75 an hour, plus opportunities for bonus, benefits and commission, if applicable. The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and capabilities. It is specific to New Yorkand may not be applicable to other locations.
