Join us as an Automation Engineer in our Operations department, where you'll have the opportunity to break new ground and leave a collective legacy. You'll be responsible for providing technical support to the manufacturing and Bulk storage buildings at our Philadelphia site. This includes equipment and system troubleshooting, operation support, QA support, IT support, and validation support. You'll also write validation protocols and testing scripts associated with software review, testing, troubleshooting, and assessing/testing modifications and improvements to automated systems and data management/storage systems.
Accountabilities:
As an Automation Engineer, you'll select, design, and implement new/replacement systems for existing or new processes, equipment, and automated systems. You'll resolve technical issues, identify root causes, and define corrective/preventive actions with equipment and automated systems. You'll lead assigned change controls associated with equipment and automated systems. You'll also provide technical support during audits and inspections, develop capability to train necessary staff on equipment operation, and understand the importance of safety and quality in the workplace.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- BA/BS Engineering/Life Sciences
- 5 years applicable experience
- Working knowledge of electronic theory and its application
- Understanding of instrumentation and control loops
- Understands and can troubleshoot PLC systems, particularly Rockwell Automation
- Understanding of programming concepts
- Understanding of risk assessment and mitigation
- Understanding of reliability-centered maintenance
- Understanding of data analytics
- Understanding of GAMP and GAMP categories
- Proficiency in investigation and problem solving
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- 0 to 3 years of industry experience
- IT infrastructure
- Understanding of validation principles
