The Floor Care Technician is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all hard surface and carpeted floors throughout the facility and assists with general cleaning, as needed.
Experience:
- Experience in floor care; tile, vinyl, terrazzo tile and carpet.
- Experience in the operation of floor care and maintenance equipment.
Education:
- High school diploma/GED.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to communicate in English.
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
- Attention to detail.
- Knowledge of floor care products and equipment.
Licenses/Registrations/Certifications:
- Current WA State driver’s license.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
The work requires regular, recurring and prolonged physical exertion such as standing or walking for prolonged periods of time; frequent bending, reaching, stooping, crouching, crawling, and stretching is necessary. The employee must exert 10-20 pounds of force constantly to move objects and must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Requires frequent repetitive hand/wrist motions and finger manipulation. Requires normal/corrected vision and hearing to normal range. The work involves recurring exposure to moderate risks which require special safety and health precautions and the use of Personal Protective Equipment; risks such as exposure to housekeeping cleaning agents, odors, dust, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.
