Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a DevSecOps engineer for the Engineering, Professional, and Administrative Support Services contract, supporting the Air Force Division.
JOB DETAILS
LOCATION: San Antonio, TX
JOB STATUS: FT
TRAVEL: 5%
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- Masters degree and 12 years of directly related experience, of which 5 years must be in DoD; or 15 years of directly related experience in lieu of masters degree, of which 5 years must be in DoD; or 20 years’ experience in lieu of degree.
- Current Secret clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other relevant academic discipline strongly preferred
- Previous software development experience (2 years) in an Agile or DevSecOps environment with the knowledge of one or more programming languages (C/C , Python, R, Go, Javascript) is highly desirable
- Knowledge of underlying DevSecOps technologies (kubernetes, microservices, cloud…), and processes
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform outreach calls to prospective Platform One customers to discuss Platform One's core mission and current products and/or service offerings
- Setup and prepare program support agreements and work with programs to acquire Platform One products and/or services to meet their needs
- Serve as the focal point to current customers and their needs. Track and report to programs regularly on the status of their deliverables and funding
- Regularly attend customer related program reviews, meetings, and discussions to stay abreast on their current needs and timelines
- Work with internal Platform One product teams to help guide their prioritization and de-confliction of customer related requirements to ensure customer satisfaction
- Explain Platform One's CI/CD pipeline and tools including SonarQube, Fortify, Twistlock etc to customer
- Explain how Kubernetes is used to orchestrate the deployment, scaling and management of Docker containers
- Explain features and limitations of software version control systems such as GitLab premium in specific customer use cases
- Track customer tickets and create documentation with Atlassian tools including Jira and Confluence.
