Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a DHS Account Lead for the Civilian Division. We are seeking a growth-focused, entrepreneurial executive to build and lead (with P&L responsibility) our Department of Homeland Security (DHS) market. This key leadership position demands a strategic, results-driven professional with deep knowledge of DHS operations and a strong background in business development. The ideal candidate should excel in navigating federal systems, fostering stakeholder relationships, and steering teams towards achieving ambitious goals. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
· Bachelor’s degree required
· 10 years of industry-related experience
· Ability to obtain security clearance
· 5 years working with DHS customers with both delivery and business growth responsibilities
· Current active professional relationships with both DHS clients and partner firms supporting DHS
· Proven ability to successfully navigate the full lifecycle of the DHS acquisition process on a wide range of new business pursuits
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
· Experience with a broad range of DHS and DOJ organizations, including DHS CISA, S&T, CBP, TSA, and FBI
· Proven track record of success within a growing organization, preferably in executive roles in mid-to-large companies or within the federal government
· Experience leading an organization, including translating overall enterprise goals into an executable strategy
· Entrepreneurial team player who delivers results
· Superior management skills; ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports, peers and a broad range of external stakeholders
· Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills when delivering to broad range of audiences, including government officials
· Demonstrated success leading winning pursuits of federal professional services contracts
· Experience as a “player/coach” and passion for leading teams
· Strong networking and relationship development skills
· Comfortable operating in a newly established account
· Thorough understanding of government contracts
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Strategy: Establishes, implements, and communicates the strategic direction of the DHS account
· Leadership: Leads the DHS account team to successful program execution and growth in addition to providing overall Astrion enterprise leadership as a member of the Astrion Senior Leadership Team
· Client Management: Builds and maintains key client relationships to support growth, delivery excellence and problem resolution
· Growth: Builds and executes an account growth plan and new business pipeline that includes both on-contract growth (expanding current programs) and net new contract pursuits
· Delivery: Responsible and accountable for the successful delivery of Astrion’s services to our customers
· Financial (P&L) Ownership: Sets annual budget and financial goals (in coordination with Division GM) for the account, to include revenue, profit, bookings, and cash flow
· Partner Management: Builds and maintains a set of partner relationships to enhance Astrion’s ability to pursue and deliver professional services to the DHS customer base
· Market Analysis: Maintains an in depth understanding of the mission, operating environment, business and technology trends, and acquisition landscape
